The Lodge

Starlight Lodge is not simply a destination, it's an experience. We've thought of everything to make your time with us exceptionally comfortable. Hover over the images to learn more about our amenities.

  • Do you accept pets?
    We currently do not accept pets. We do, however, have a resident kitty, named Layla.
  • I don't have a car. How do I reach the Lodge?
    The best way to reach the Lodge if you don't have a car, is by bus. The closest bus station is in Hancock, NY, which is a 10 minute drive from the Lodge. Once you arrive at the bus station, you'll need to arrange for a taxi or car service to take you the rest of the way. As an alternative, the closest airport is Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (AVP), located one hour from the Lodge. Once you arrive, you'll need to arrange for a taxi or car service to take you the rest of the way. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to provide transfers from the bus station nor the airport. Also, please be aware that once you arrive at the Lodge, you'll need to hire a car or taxi service to take you into town for supplies, food, or any other provisions you might need during your stay.
  • Do you serve breakfast?
    Yes, we serve breakfast every morning from 8:00 am to 10:00 am using ingredients from our garden or local markets. If you have specific dietary needs, please let us know upon your arrival.
  • Can I use the kitchen at the Lodge?
    Unless you are renting the entire Lodge, the kitchen is reserved for the Lodge keepers only. However, there is a dedicated refrigerator on the ground level for guests who wish to store food or drinks. You may also bring a small cooler to keep in your room.
  • At what time is check-in?
    Check-in is from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Please let us know if your arrival time will be outside this window so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
  • At what time is check-out?
    Check-out is at 11:00 am. Late check-out is available for a fee and is based on availability. Please inquire prior to your arrival.
  • What happens if I lose the key to my room or don't return it during check out?
    If you lose or check-out without returning your room key, there is a $50 lost key fee.
  • Is the hot tub private?
    The hot tub is not private and can be used by any guest at any time. There is, however, a limit of 8 people at any one time. Please note that children under the age of 18 are not allowed in the hot tub without parent supervision.
  • When is the hot tub open?
    The hot tub is open and available for use 24 hours a day. If you need assistance, please find a Lodge keeper.
