Terms and Conditions

Rooms are rented to you in our home as our guest. We expect you to treat the Lodge with respect and care, leaving it exactly as you found it. You must be at least 21 years old to book or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 

As a guest in our home, the Starlight Lodge, you are using our property, amenities, and home at your own risk. By completing this reservation you affirm that you release the owners of the Starlight Lodge located at 169 Starlight Lake Road from all liability for any actions or events that may befall you during your stay. We ask that you act with good judgment, and with concern for your own safety during your stay.

 

Examples of good choices include:
.
• Carrying a small light with you when you are outdoors after dark.
• Not sitting on banisters of porches.
• No children in room 8.
• Safe use of the hot tub, adults only, please.

You also agree to our Cancellation Policy.


HOT TUB RELEASE:
As a guest in our home, the Starlight Lodge, you are using our hot tub at your own risk. You attest, by completing this reservation, that you release the owners of the Starlight Lodge from any liability related to the use of the tub, including accessing the pavilion on the stone ‘steps’, entry and exit of the tub, any malfunction of the hot tub or its electrical components, or installation, any over-immersion and use with alcohol, drugs, or simple absentmindedness.


You acknowledge that your children may not enter the hot tub area/pavilion at all, for any reason. Children are defined as anyone under the age of 21.

The hot tub company itself warns the following:
“For your own security...Prolonged immersion in water that is warmer than normal body temperature can result in a dangerous condition known as HYPERTHERMIA. The causes, symptoms, and effects of hyperthermia may be described as follows: Hyperthermia occurs when the internal temperature of the body reaches a level several degrees above the normal temperature of 98.6°F. The symptoms of hyperthermia include dizziness, fainting, drowsiness, lethargy, and an increase in the internal temperature of the body. The effects of hyperthermia include (1) unawareness of impending hazard, (2) failure to perceive heat, (3) failure to recognize the need to exit the spa, (4) physical inability to exit the spa, (5) fetal damage in pregnant women, and (6) unconsciousness resulting in a danger of drowning. WARNING - the use of alcohol, drugs, or medication can greatly increase the risk of fatal hyperthermia in hot tubs and spas, and an increase in the internal temperature of the body. The effects of hyperthermia include (1) unawareness of impending hazard, (2) failure to perceive heat, (3) failure to recognize the need to exit the spa, (4) physical inability to exit the spa, (5) fetal damage in pregnant women, and (6 unconsciousness resulting in a danger of drowning. You indemnify and hold harmless The Lodge against any accidents that occur on the property, in the home, or in the surrounding area.


You are staying in our home at your own risk.
